Chassis Design
The main design for the chassis centered around providing a durable base for the shooting mechanism. The chassis comprises of three levels secured with four threaded rods. The overall height of the robot was 12". Thus, the chassis was rugged and compact.
The underside of the base, prior to the installation of the tape sensors is shown below.
The chassis provided mounting points for all of the hardware required in the robot. During testing, the levels of the chassis could be moved up and down to provide access to the electrical systems.
